Puigdemont says visiting Madrid

barcelona - Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont does not travel to Madrid to make a statement for the Spanish Senate. He would go to the Spanish capital on Thursday or Friday to explain the Catalan aspiration of independence.

The government of Catalonia confirmed the Wednesday's cancellation. Puigdemont was welcome to the Senate, so the Vice-President shared a few days ago. The Senate is voting on Friday's intention of the Rajoy government to apply Article 155 of the Constitution, which will allow the autonomous Catalan government to be suspended and Madrid will take over the board.
