Kurdish banned march to Strasbourg

stuttgart - A Kurdish march from Stuttgart to Strasbourg is prohibited four days after the start because of riots. 'Because of violent clashes and rising aggression among participants we have pronounced a ban on the upcoming stages,' said Sabine Dorsch of the public order office in Stuttgart on Friday.

Authorities in Stuttgart responsible for the protest march Monday in the city was launched. He should finish Saturday in Strasbourg. During the stages in the last days participants threw the authorities repeatedly with stones and bottles, there were provocations and there was property damage.

Promoters organized the march to mark the date of arrest on February 15, 1999 of PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan by Turkish security forces.
