Homeless are a ton of gold richer after tip
- An American homeless have recently turned to worry about money. He received $ 100,000 (over 90,000 euros) from the police because he helped to get two fugitive prisoners.
Police in Orange County in California had offered a reward of 150 000 dollars after two men had escaped from prison. On TV were shown pictures of them. The homeless man saw the fugitives then sitting in a stolen van and alerted the police. That earned him a tonne.
The rest of the prize was divided between a man whose van was stolen and two supermarket employees who were showing the prisoners had supplied surveillance images. A taxi driver who was kidnapped last week by the escaped prisoners have bad luck. He gets nothing from the reward.
