Google world view appropriated Dutch instant messaging service

- Google set up its own developer team in Southeast Asia and the Dutch startup Pie will play a role in this. The Internet giant has business chat service established incorporated in Singapore. The whole Pie team is employed by Google.

Pie is more than two years ago by the Dutch Pieter Walraven and Thijs Jacobs. The service has agreements with apps like HipChat and Slack, but focuses on the non-technical user. The service is suitable for use in companies with employees number between ten and several hundred.

The acquisition marks the end of the service. On the website you can read the March 2 ceases. Whether Google will continue the Service is not known.
In a blog post on Google in Southeast Asia called the acquisition. However, it says only that the employees of Pie become part of a development team in Singapore which is designed to better meet user demand in emerging countries like India, Indonesia and the Philippines.
