FBI: packages indeed contain explosives

washington - The suspicious packages that an arrested man would have sent to, among other prominent Democrats, contain explosive material. That's what FBI boss Chris Wray announced during a press conference. The federal police found the suspected sender on the trail of a difficult to find fingerprint on a mail item intended for Congressman Maxine Waters.

Wray said the found pipe bombs were certainly not fake. However, it remains to be investigated whether they could actually be detonated or brought to explosion. The FBI chief, congratulated via Twitter by President Donald Trump, considered it too early to talk about what the suspect, Cesar Sayoc (56), had inspired. He has a long criminal record, with a bomb threat.
