Archaeologists find necropolis in Egypt

cairo - German and Egyptian archaeologists have uncovered a certain 2500-year-old necropolis in the city of Minya. The cemetery contains dozens of sarcophagi, over a thousand small statues, a golden mask and many other objects.
Minya is located about 250 kilometers south of the Egyptian capital Cairo. Minister of Antiquities Chaled al-Enani said Saturday that last year began with the uncovering of the necropolis and that there is still five years to complete the investigation.
