Japanese black widow gets a death penalty

A Japanese serial killer on Tuesday expressed the death penalty for the murder of her husband and two partners and attempted murder of a fourth man.

The seventy-year-old Chisako Kakehi, who is called the 'black widow' in Japanese media, would have let the men drink cyanide and raise the insurance fee.

According to the defense, there was no physical evidence of her involvement in the death of the men, and she was also demented when the murders took place. The judge, however, called them 'horrendous crimes.' '' The death penalty is inevitable, even if dementia and other factors are involved, 'the Japanese Times quotes the judge.
