Australia stops air strikes Syria and Iraq

Australia stops the air strikes over Iraq and Syria.

The number of attacks that the aircraft carried out had, in any case, already dropped because the target, the terrorist movement Islamic State since October no more places dominated as stronghold. After consultation with Iraq and other members of the international coalition, Australia recovers the aircraft of the Super Hornet type, reported Australian media.

Payne stressed that other tasks carried out by the Australian forces, such as reconnaissance flights and training of Iraqi military personnel, are being continued.

The Netherlands has decided this month in January to continue with four air fighter aircraft of the type F-16 with air raids over Iraq and the east of Syria.
