YouTube launches its own music app

- Video site YouTube has launched its long-awaited music application. YouTube Music acts basically as other streaming music services like Spotify, but also provides videos.

It is about clips and live footage of artists and bands, as well as karaoke videos and instructional videos on how a song can be played. These videos are of course all come from YouTube, but in the app easier to find because results are sorted by artist, genre or album. During the game can easily be switched between only video or audio, for example, in order to reduce data usage. The app is basically free to use, but are still displayed ads. People who already have a subscription to premium service YouTube Red, have not presented. In addition, it is possible to play music in the background while another application is opened.
