- The president of Gambia has devised. He let all the women working in the public service by January 4 wear headscarves, but now realizes that there are women in the West African country, which is 'not happy' to be.
Yahya Jammeh has announced through a statement, reports BBC. Here, women are described as his 'best friends.' 'He sees them as his sisters and want them to always be happy. The rule that makes them apparently unhappy is therefore deleted. '
Last month, the Gambian president called on the Islamic republic. Thus he rallied his country in the group with Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Mauritania. Jammeh promised initially that there would be no dress code.
Over ninety percent of the nearly two million Gambians are Muslims.
