'Widow Gaddafi should return to Libya'

- Safia Farkash, widow of the Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi (1922-2011), allowed a number of grandchildren back to Libya. The authorities in Tripoli have given her permission to do so, reported Wednesday the Spanish news agency Europa Press according to Libyan media.

After the insurgent capital Tripoli in the hands had fallen, the Gaddafi family fled in October 2011. Gaddafi himself was arrested in Sirte and executed. Farkash managed to reach relatives Algeria. There they were allowed to stay if they would not go public. Daughter Aisha Gaddafi did just that and that is why the family had to later move to Oman.

Libya after the fall of the Gaddafi regime has fallen into anarchy. Tribes, militias, gangs, nomadic groups and jihadists controlling parts of the country. The advance of fighters who consider themselves to Islamic State itself in and outside Libya increasingly concerned.
