White smoke over brexit deal

brussels - A photo on Twitter of white smoke from a chimney feeds the expectation in Brussels that the EU and the United Kingdom have reached an agreement on the separation conditions for the British departure from the EU.

Head of Cabinet Martin Selmayr of European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker sent the picture from the room in which he, the British Prime Minister Theresa May, the Brexit Minister David Davis and EU Chief Negotiator Michel Barnier are gathered to be expected to hit nails on the Brexit.

May and Davis flew to Brussels after a night of feverish negotiations on Friday morning. An agreement on the London bill, the rights of EU citizens living in Britain and the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland paves the way for negotiations on the trade relationship after the Brexit in 2019.
