WhatsApp allows you to tag users

- To prevent a message in a group chat, not the person reaches where it is intended, WhatsApp offers help. The chat app now lets you tag other users with an @ sign to put their name, like for example Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.

Simultaneously, the maximum group size is increased from 100 to 256 participants. If you get a tag someone that person always alert, even when he has put down the silent group.

The new feature is available for Android and iOS apps. The web version should do it without tagging.
