Wedding ring found in desert

sydney - The phrase 'finding a needle in a haystack' has an Australian variant: losing a lost wedding ring in the desert and searching for it. In this case, the ring was found again.

Elizabeth Docherty lost the wedding ring during a trip with her husband in the Simpson desert last June. 'I walked up one of the dunes to take a picture when I realized on the top that my ring was gone.'

Soon realized that search was meaningless. 'If you walk 10 meters there, you do not know where you came from,' she says to ABC news.

Until this week, someone on Facebook reported that a ring was found. Her sister in law saw the message and tagged Elizabeth.

The Australian will soon receive confirmation from the police if the ring has indeed been delivered. A trip to the famous red dunes is not necessary, the jewelry is delivered to her.
