Website Humo behind payment wall

asse - The Flemish website Humo.be will be hiding behind a payment wall at the end of this year. The website of the weekly magazine, which was taken over two years ago by De Persgroep, is entirely on its own. Subscribers of the paper version get full access. For other interested parties, access to the website is 5 euros per month.

'For 5 euros a month, you will receive brand new content daily, seven days a week, with fifteen new articles, videos and other content relevant to that day,' says project manager Joris Bellwinkel to Belga press office.

'These are partly pieces that appear in the magazine as well as stories that you do not find. The most important thing is that we have a good mix of humor, current reports and good stories about music, television and film every day.'

The goal is to get the renewed Humo website online this year. 'We will not launch until we are really satisfied, hopefully end this year, if necessary something later. Or something earlier.'
