london - Who has ever been in London have probably the words 'Mind the gap' hear broadcasters on one of the subway stations in the British capital. The man who left the voice is deceased iconic words, let his family know Friday on Facebook.

Phil Sayer, who worked more as a radio and television presenter, was 62 years old. He was the voice behind the long message 'Please mind the gap between the train and the platform.'

Another recording of 'Mind the gap', which was scrapped after forty years, has recently been put back into service after a call from the man's widow uttering it. For they often came to the station to hear his voice and was inconsolable when she no longer heard him one day. That image is then restored and is now used again.

The messages are told since late sixties in the underground. Then, it was not possible for metro drivers and conductors to warn passengers in each station orally.
