london - With a church service and a minute's silence in London, the terrorist attack of 3 June 2017 was discussed. Then eight people died and 48 people were injured. The relatives lit candles during a service in the Cathedral of Southwark, the BBC reports.

Prime Minister Theresa May, opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn and members of the emergency services attended the memorial service. Spiritual Andrew Nunn read the names of the deceased victims there. 'Love is stronger than hatred, slightly stronger than darkness and life is stronger than death,' he said.

Exactly a year ago, three men on the London Bridge drove a van on pedestrians. After they got out, they put people down at the nearby Borough Market. The police killed the attackers.

After the church service, a procession went to the bridge, where relatives laid flowers and observed a minute's silence.
