US wants emergency meeting Security Council to North Korea

seoul/washington - The United States along with Japan and South Korea requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. This response to the North Korean launch of a medium range. The meeting, according to a US UN envoy to take place sometime on Monday.
North Korea called the launch on Sunday of a new type of ballistic missile medium-range, a success. The Korean Central News Agency reported that the Pukguksong-2 can be fitted with a nuclear warhead.
The North Korean missile test was the first since the election of Donald Trump for president of the United States in November. The launch coincided with a visit by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Trump in Florida. Abe called the action from Pyongyang 'totally unacceptable. 'Trump told to' stand 100 percent behind Japan. '
