US Senate wants tougher sanctions North Korea

- The US Senate wants to see tougher sanctions against North Korea. The bill to make the country more stringent punishment for the nuclear program, human rights and espionage was supported unanimously. All 96 Democrats and Republicans voted for it.

Last month, the House of Representatives was already approved a similar proposal. It is expected that President Barack Obama will sign the law now. The bill means that anyone will be punished who contributes to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction from North Korea, weapon-related materials, luxury goods, the violation of human rights and undermining the internet security. The US wants above all hit the country financially. One of the penalties is that money is confiscated. Another consequence may be that a visa ban on government contracts or be broken.
