riyad - Now that the struggle against Islamic state is almost behind, Iran-backed militia in Iraq must go home \u0026 # x27; \u0026 # x27 ;. That said US Secretary Rex Tillerson (Foreign Affairs) Sunday after a meeting with Iraqi and Saudi leaders.

'The Iranian militias who are in Iraq must go home as the end is in view of the fight against IS,' Tillerson said at a press conference. 'The foreign warriors who are in Iraq must go home and enable the Iraqi people to take control again. ''

Tens of thousands of Iraqis were previously attacked by militias who receive support from the Shiite regime in Tehran. This happened after the Islamic state's sonitic extremists in 2014 had underestimated about one third of Iraq.

The Iraqi armed forces receive US weapons, but in the fight against IS they also receive support from the militias. They receive financial support and training from Iranians. Washington and American allies like Saudi Arabia fear that Tehran is trying to expand its influence in the region.
