cox \u0026 # x27; s bazar - Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh are exposed to high risks during the rainy season. According to the United Nations, researchers concluded that at least 100,000 people should be moved because of threatening landslides and flooding in the monsoon season.

Around 688,000 Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar since last August. Care workers warn that the facilities in the overcrowded refugee camps are often seriously inadequate.

A UN report also shows that some places where refugees have settled are not suitable for human habitation. 'The expected flooding and landslides in the coming monsoon season make a bad situation even worse. ''

Not only natural phenomena threaten the displaced Rohingya. Aid organizations also try to prevent disease outbreaks in the camps. For example, hundreds of thousands of Rohingya have been vaccinated against cholera. The UN report shows that more and more refugees are now being infected with mumps.
