UN countries agree on migration measures

new york - The United Nations agreed Friday on measures how countries can deal with mass migration. Migration of refugees must be 'safer and more structured' as a result of these measures, say UN staff. The agreement is formally adopted in December in Morocco.

'We've never had anything to help us deal with migration properly,' said Miroslav Lajcak, the chairman of the UN General Assembly.

According to the UN, the agreement does not contain strict rules, but many practical guidelines.

The United States is the only country that has not signed the agreement, they withdrew from the negotiations last year. Hungary may also want to withdraw, Hungarian media reports.
