london - The unwelcome photographing of someone 'under the belt' becomes a crime in England and Wales, where up to two years' imprisonment is imposed. The British call this harassment with a camera 'upskirting' (dressing).

There is already legislation against voyeurism or immorality. But the persecution of, for example, types that maneuver mobile phones under a dress is, according to the initiators, so far legally impossible because the law is not based on this new form of harassment.

According to Minister of Justice, Lucy Frazer, the British government supports the initiative of the Liberal Democratic parliamentarian Wera Hobhouser. She started a campaign with others for stricter legislation to better protect your body and privacy from intrusive figures with cameras or mobile phones.
