World March 27, 2018 10:00

- Typhoon follows a four-part documentary series in the footsteps of his great inspiration Martin Luther King. Fifty years after the death of the civil rights fighter, the rapper makes a musical road trip through the United States and visits the black neighborhoods of major cities.

Typhoon investigates in the EO-series what is left of the King's message in the neighborhoods and whether his words still resonate in black music. To find out, he visits activists and protest rappers who take him to the disadvantaged neighborhoods.

Here he sees the life of the street where racial inequality and crime are still prevalent. The 33-year-old rapper also meets the leaders of #BlackLivesMatter who fight against discrimination.

Typhoon in America can be seen on NPO3 from 12 April.
