Two years in prison for Flemish former stock guru

brussels - Former stock market guru Jean-Pierre Van Rossem from Flanders was found guilty of forgery, money laundering, tax fraud and fraud. The court in Brussels put the 73-year-old former politician Friday two years imprisonment after a three-year requirement, report Flemish media.
According to the Public Prosecution Service, the ex-parliamentarian led a luxury life for years with money from Swiss bank accounts, while he still owes millions to the tax authorities. The judge also imposed a fine of EUR 12,000 on Rossem and declared EUR 390,000 forfeited. His girlfriend was sentenced to a year conditionally.
