Last weekend in the Brussels commune of Molenbeek and elsewhere made house searches. Seven persons were arrested in relation to the attacks in Paris.
Among those arrested was the brother of two alleged offenders, Mohammed Abdeslam. He was released Monday. According to his lawyer, the man has a watertight alibi for Friday night and he could not be in Paris.
Abdeslams brother Brahim died when he blew himself up near the restaurant Comptoire Voltaire. Another brother, Salah, is wanted internationally. He was born in Brussels. During a large-scale police operation Monday in Molenbeek was hoped to find these terror brother. The action led to one arrest, reports our correspondent on the spot. A man refused by order of the police to go out of his house. It was hoped that Salah tarried there but that was not the case. During the search of the property to the Delaunoystraat was nothing (criminal act) found.
There were also done in two places bomb threats but that proved a false alarm.
