Twitter launches data-friendly site

san francisco - Twitter on Thursday launched a new version of its mobile site data saving. Users can load faster the social network Twitter Lite on slow and unreliable networks.

The changes are tweets on average thirty percent faster load and use the site seventy percent less data, so Twitter said in a blog. This is partly because movies and photos do not appear automatically. The site remains accessible offline as eg temporary interruption in the connection.

Twitter Lite is especially designed for emerging markets such as Asia, Latin America and Africa.
