'Twitter gets longer messages Monday'

- "Twitter goes next week to allow longer messages. Reported tech site The Verge, which sources said the company. Although the limit remains 140 characters, but attached media quoted tweets no longer count on the number of them. Also usernames do not count if they are at the beginning of a message."
"Twitter's plans were announced in May. A precise date on which that amendment would go in, there was not, however. According to the sources, however, September 19, the day on which the change takes effect. It is not clear whether any changes are simultaneously valid."
