Twitter blocked hundreds of thousands of accounts

san francisco - Twitter has in the second half of last year 376 890 Accounts blocked for glorifying terrorism. Which announced the service Tuesday in the Transparency Report, which is published twice a year.

It is a substantial increase compared to the period before. Between August 2015 and June 2016, almost a year, Twitter namely pulled the plug from almost 260 000 accounts.

The cause of the increase is unknown. Therefore it is not clear whether more jihadist accounts on Twitter, or that they are better found.
