Turkish TV preacher: women can also pray in bikini

istanbul - The extremely colorful 62-year-old Turkish TV preacher Adnan Oktar has once again been discredited in his country. Apart from bestsellers, he is also a powerful television guru who preaches Islam on his channel A9, while he is surrounded by remarkably scantily clad ladies, whom he calls pussies.

Oktar gives a special twist to Islam. According to him, there is no mention in the Koran that women should be completely covered. They can therefore also pray in bikini. And it is good if they excite men and give birth to children.

His TV programs are very popular, as are his books in which he strongly opposes the evolution theory, and stands up for Turkey and Islam. Initially he regularly fought against Jews and freemasons, but later he suddenly became very positive about both of them.

His popular programs, however, also meet with disgust among many people. He has been accused several times of blackmail and recruiting prostitutes. Recently there was criticism from Ali Erbas, the head of the powerful Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs, Diyanet. 'He refers to religion in his TV shows while women dance for him. He is corrupt. It is not good to look at such a program, 'Erbas concluded.

Oktar replied that Diyanet's employees earn their salary from, among other things, taxes on casinos and distilleries. But this week the watchdog of the Turkish media RTÜK Oktar on the fingers ticked. His TV channel A9 must pay as much as five percent of the advertising revenue received in the past four weeks and he has been temporarily removed from television.

It is not the first time that the popular TV preacher has been in trouble. But Oktar can not be easily dismissed. There will be another sequel.
