- 7,000 soldiers have in the night from Saturday to Sunday surrounded the plane base Incirlik. All access roads to the NATO base were temporarily closed.

The Turkish newspaper Hurriyet said the action came after 'signals' that there would be a second coup attempt, but according to the Turkish government went to no more than a 'security'. The airbase is used for military operations against Islamic State.

Bloomberg reports that the authorities have released the access to the Incirlik airbase.
