Turkey wants to join the European Union, while the Union wants to limit number of refugees traveling to its member countries. The Turkish government has asked for EU 3 billions to stem the flow of refugees to Europe.
Turkey daily receives about five hundred migrants. Last year, 150 000 illegal immigrants arrested.
ankara - Turkey wants refugees from Syria to offer work permits to ensure that asylum seekers remain in Turkey and not by traveling to Europe. The Turkish Minister for European Affairs Volkan Bozkir spoke on Monday in the Turkish capital Ankara with Frans Timmermans, vice-president of the European Commission.
