istanbul - The Turkish forces have fought a large convoy in the Syrian Afrin region. According to Turkey, it was about vehicles with 'terrorists, weapons and ammunition' from the Kurdish YPG militia.

The YPG contradicts this and claims that the cars transported, among other things, 'food aid and medical supplies'.

According to Turkey, the convoy consisted of about thirty to forty vehicles. The Turkish artillery opened fire when the cars approached the city of Afrin, the army said. That emphasized a lot of effort to prevent civilian casualties.

The YPG spokesman in Afrin said several vehicles were on fire because of the fire. He stated that citizens from various places were in the convoy. Ten people would have been injured by the Turkish attack. A person died. In total, hundreds of people would have been in the vehicles.
