World February 1, 2017 16:42

istanbul - The Turkish government maintains thirty journalists fixed, keep Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag full. His counting is in stark contrast with that of organizations like Human Rights Watch and P24, a platform for independent journalism in Turkey. These two put the number of detained journalists in more than 140.

Bozdag came with his number in response to questions in parliament from the opposition party CHP. It can always be that there are people claiming to be journalists when they are actually unemployed, the minister added.

Since the attempted coup of July 15 last year, journalists and their media targeted by the government. That is Erdogan and AK Party government to stand up more and more criticism. German Chancellor Merkel talks on Thursday with Erdogan and journalists' organizations asked her on that occasion to raise press freedom in Turkey.
