Tunisians slain by landmine
- Two Tunisian citizens have been slain Monday and another wounded by a landmine which jihadists had posted a mountainous area near the Algerian border. The victims are two women, told the Defense Ministry.
Security forces are engaged in a hard struggle against militants of Islamic State since last year, four major attacks committed in the North African country. Even a small al-Qaeda linked terror group operates along the Algerian border.
Dozens of people died last year were killed in attacks by extremists at a museum in Tunis and a spa. The Tunisian important tourism sector then collapsed. In another attack on a town near the border with Libya fifty militants were slain by the army.
