washington - US President Donald Trump supports efforts to better control people who want to buy a firearm. That's what spokesman Sarah Sanders of the White House said on Monday in a reaction to the shooting at a school in Florida. In addition, 17 people died last week.
According to Sanders, Trump spoke with prominent Republican Senator John Cornyn, who was already working on a proposal for tighter background checks last year. That happened after 26 people were shot in November in a church in Texas by a man who had already been convicted of domestic violence.
