Troops make way for president Gambia

banjul - Troops of the West African grouping Ecowas on Sunday under the cheers of the population Banjul the capital of Gambia marched to prepare for the arrival of the elected president Adama Barrow. Which can take office as head of state after President Yahya Jammeh last Saturday left the country under heavy pressure.

Jammeh caused a crisis in the country because he refused to step down after losing elections Barrow in December. After the swearing in of Barrow Thursday at the Embassy of Gambia in neighboring Senegal, West African countries Gambia threatened to invade if Jammeh would not leave.
