Tourists to the death escapes on Phuket's burning yacht

bangkok - Nine British tourists were rescued from a burning yacht off the coast of the Thai island of Phuket. The fifteen-meter-long vessel was hit by lightning and caught fire, the BBC reports.

The vacationers remained unharmed, according to the authorities, because they were hidden below deck for the bad weather. Fishermen came to the rescue and were able to save the crew. It did less well with the luxury craft. On images you can see how the yacht goes up in flames.
