'Topwoman of Goldman Sachs rejects Trump'

new york - The American top woman of Goldman Sachs Dina Powell has rejected the proposal of US President Donald Trump to succeed Nikki Haley as ambassador to the United Nations, US media reports

Powell informed Trump by phone that she was honored to ask, but that she was not interested in the position. Trump and Powell had been in discussion since the beginning of the week about the possible follow-up of Haley, who announced her departure earlier this Tuesday.

Powell previously worked under Trump as a deputy national security advisor.
