Three poachers presumably eaten by lions

kenton-on-sea - It seems that at least three poachers have been eaten by lions in a South African nature reserve. Different body parts, three pairs of shoes and one head were recovered.

The remains were spread over a large area, where also a shotgun with a silencer, an ax and wire cutters were found.

The owner of the Sibuya Game Reserve is certain that they are poachers: 'They were obviously well armed and had enough food to stay away for days. We think they were after our rhinos. 'The ax was probably meant to chop off the horns. The owner does not rule out that more remains will be found.

'We are always sad when there are deaths, but they came here to kill our animals. We hope that other poachers realize that you can not always be a winner. '

In 2016, the reserve lost three rhinos when poachers shot them for their horns.
