houston - Residents of Hurricane Harvey hit Houston should not look strange if they find an alligator in their garden or under their car in the coming days. Due to the rising water there is a chance that the wild animals will wander around.

In addition to the sometimes giant alligators, snakes will also appear in unexpected places, reports the Houston Cronicle. The Gator Squad, an organization that cares for the fate of the crocodile-like, expects a few busy days. Because many areas flood, the beasts look for dry ground under their feet. It is estimated that around five hundred thousand wild alligators live around Houston.
