The judge rejects Manafort's complaint about a special prosecutor's case

washington - The former campaign manager of Donald Trump, Paul Manafort, has vainly objected to the investigation of special prosecutor Robert Mueller. Manafort had gone to court, but he ruled that he can not initiate civil proceedings to thwart criminal investigations.

The 69-year-old Manafort thinks that Mueller has outgrown his book. The special prosecutor's investigation led to the prosecution of Trump's former campaign manager, suspected of money laundering, among other things. According to Manafort, these accusations have nothing to do with Mueller's main task: to investigate possible Russian interference in the American presidential election.

Manafort had initially demanded that all charges against him be withdrawn, but his lawyer later returned to it. He asked the court to protect his client against future prosecution by the special prosecutor. However, the judge stated that any criticism of the prosecution of the former campaign manager could be dealt with during his criminal case.
