dorset - A nursing home in Dorset, England, treated the residents to an extensive pole dance show in the common room.
Some thirty pensioners, both men and women, had asked for 'something else'. They had done it with gardening and all art workshops. However, a pole dance show seemed to them a bit.
The management had no problem with that. A pole was installed in the room, after which the young women gave away a show in hot pants and bikinis. Music by Abba and the film Singing in the Rain (1952) came from the speakers.
'Our dancers did not perform before for people of that age,' says the owner of the pole dance school to Daily Mail. 'We get a lot of criticism, but pole dancing is a sport. And we gave away a show that was suitable for a nursing home. '
The show was a success; the pole dancers may come back soon.
