Thalys trains get facelift

brussels - The high speed trains Thalys get a makeover. The 26 red-colored trains with eight carriages each to be 2021 all underway. The first renovated trainset has now made a ride, the company announced Monday.
Each train is completely dismantled in northern France for repairs and cleaning, representing 45 000 man-hours each. Thalys is the ' purely technical midlife refurbishment 'use to replace the carpeting and seat covers. On the outside, the trains get a new paint job, which are laid slightly different emphasis.
Thalys International provides rides between Amsterdam and Paris, but also from Brussels to Cologne. The company exists for twenty years and is owned by the French, Belgian and German railways. NS is a 'strategic partner'.
