bangkok - Almost five years after the coup in Thailand, the residents can go to the polls again to choose a new parliament. More than 51 million voters are allowed until 11 am Dutch time on Sunday...

They are the first more or less free elections since the army seized power in 2014. The military coup armies have repeatedly promised to hold parliamentary elections in 2015, 2017 and 2018, but it just didn't happen.
