bangkok - Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej is recovering in hospital from a blood infection and a swollen lung, the royal officer service reported Sunday. The health of the 88-year-old prince is a charged issue in Thailand, not least because it also quickly about his succession. The 88-year-old king is the longest reigning monarch in the world. He was appointed king until June 9, 1946 and crowned two years later. He should be succeeded by his son, Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn (63).
