Thai football players can call with parents

bangkok - The young Thai football players who are trapped in a flooded cave system may get in touch with their parents again on Tuesday. The authorities establish a telephone connection so that they can speak directly to the group, says governor Narongsak Osotthanakorn of Chiang Rai province.

It would be the first time since 23 June that the twelve young people and their coach can talk directly with the outside world. On that date they got stuck in the cave system. Divers have now reached the place where the group is stranded, a few kilometers from the entrance to the cave system.
