Terror suspects detained in Istanbul

- A special unit of the Turkish police in Istanbul have arrested three men suspected of plotting attacks on German targets. Turkish media reported Wednesday that the three, a Turk, a Syrian and an Iraqi, plotting attacks on the German consulate or German school.

The three were arrested Tuesday on signs of German and Turkish intelligence services. They might have links with the Sunni extremists of the Islamic State (IS). Police are still frantically searching for three suspects who were plotting to Turkish IS attacks in Istanbul.

Last Thursday locks German institutions in Turkey their doors, because according to the German Foreign Minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, very serious indications of attacks on German targets.

Wednesday is the Dutch consulate in Istanbul closed due to terrorist threats.
