Temporary ban on grubbing up in the forest of Hambach

munster - The court in Münster has proclaimed a temporary ban on grubbing up trees in the Hambach forest. The German federation for nature and environmental protection BUND had asked for the ban on whipping in an interlocutory proceeding.

Environmentalists are fiercely opposed to the grubbing up of large parts of the Hambach forest. Energy company RWE wants more than 100 hectares of forest sheets in the coming months to increase the production of lignite.
