Teenagers killed by storm in more Karelia
moscow - By sudden storms on Sunday in a more numerous people killed or went missing in the western Russian Karelia. Russian media speak of at least eleven dead, mostly teenagers. Eleven others were rescued, but the rest of the group is still looking for.
It went according to news agency Sputnik to 49 tourists from Moscow, mostly teenagers. They got into boats and other vessels on Lake Syamozero in distress by a storm that raised suddenly.
RIA news agency refers to a group of about 25 young people. Emergency services include helicopter searching for the missing persons and located around the lake 250 kilometers northeast of St. Petersburg. The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobjanin, expressed his regret.
